Created for the grand opening of Epic Universe, Universal Studios’ brand-new theme park in Orlando, Florida, in May 2025, this piece celebrates the park through a richly illustrated vision of its architecture, landscapes and fantastical worlds. The artwork was presented as a gift to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

A celebration of Monsters Unchained, the signature attraction in the Dark Universe land of Epic Universe. This illustration brings together the gothic atmosphere, classic monsters and cinematic energy that define the ride and its world.
A personal tribute to one of the great comic books of the 1950s. Inspired by the wild imagination, dramatic storytelling and unmistakable visual language of classic Weird Science comics, this piece is a love letter to the traditional illustration that first made these worlds so captivating.

Patrick Vogtli is a self-taught artist and Principal Concept Artist at Universal Creative. His lifelong fascination with comic books, storytelling, classic monsters, architecture, and imagined worlds has shaped a career dedicated to creating places and characters that feel as though they could exist just beyond the page. Blending traditional illustration with cinematic concept art, Patrick's work explores the space between the familiar and the fantastical. Whether imagining a new destination, reinterpreting a classic monster, or creating a world entirely from scratch, his work is always about one thing: inviting the viewer into the story.
